BOOKING
HOW TO BOOK
Please send us a Booking Form specifying the kind of trip you wish to book. Let us know on which dates you wish to travel, the number of people travelling and any information you think is important for organizing your trip. We promise to get back to you within 48 hours.
Episode team will present you a travel proposal taking into account your specific requests.
When you agree with the presented proposal, payment of a reservation deposit of 20 % of the tour price will be required. Payment may be made through either of these methods:
Bank transfer or International Money Order made out in Euros payable to our bank account (details included with the availability request response).
Credit card. However, credit card payments are unfortunately subject to an additional charge to cover credit card company fees (normally 3.0%).
On receiving your deposit, confirmation of your booking along with all program details will be sent to you. A contract is then established when you receive our confirmation of your booking (refer Terms and Conditions)
NOT LATER THAN 45 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE
The balance of your tour payment is due 45 days prior to the departure date, as detailed on your invoice.
If your selected tour begins within 45 days of booking, final payment is due at that time. Failure to receive the outstanding amount by the due date is considered as cancellation.
NOT LATER THAN 2 WEEKS BEFORE DEPARTURE
Travel documents and general information, what to wear and final itinerary and sightseeing notes will be dispatched at least a fortnight before departure.
TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
Episode does not arrange means of arrival to Portugal, so please note that your travel plans to join up with the tour are your responsibility. Tours start at the time and place indicated in the programme. Should you require any special arrangement regarding your arrival, please inform us.
HEALTH AND ACTIVITY
To enjoy this trip in Portugal, you should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances, often over unpaved and uneven surfaces. Some of the most memorable sightseeing can only be accomplished on foot. The amount of walking you do, however, is at your discretion. Portugal is home to innumerable historic buildings and sites, many dating from ancient or medieval times. Therefore, roads, walkways and architecture may present difficulties for some guests with physical disabilities. We conduct walking tours in most of the cities visited.
We regret that we’re unable to provide individual assistance to guests with walking difficulties or other personal needs. The responsibility of the Episode Tour Escort who accompanies your trip is to ensure that the larger group enjoys a relaxing and informative journey, and he or she cannot be relied upon to provide ongoing individual assistance to any one guest. Guests requiring such individualized assistance must be accompanied by an able-bodied companion who can provide it.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
Should you have any special requests, please indicate them in writing. We try to arrange for all special requests to be met but cannot issue guarantees that they will be, nor is Episode liable should any special request not be met.
Our tours are not able to include all specific needs regarding accommodation for persons with disabilities. Where your party includes somebody needing such special arrangements, please provide early indication of the respective details. Episode will try to meet all requirements but are unfortunately still unable to guarantee that all accommodation, transport and facilities are equipped and appropriate for wheelchair users or disabled persons.
PASSPORT AND VISA
An Identity Card is needed for citizens of the EU or the Schengen area.
A passport valid for up to 6 months is required for citizens arriving from outside EU or Schengen area member states.
For stays of up to 90 days the following do not require visas:
(a) nationals of EU countries, Australia, Canada, USA, Japan and nationals mentioned under passport exemptions:
(b) nationals of Andorra, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Israel, Korea (Rep. of), Mexico, New Zealand, Paraguay, Singapore, Uruguay, Vatican City and Venezuela.
All other nationalities may require a valid visa. Please contact the Embassy of Portugal or your local consulate for further details.
Please ensure that you hold a full passport and that any visa documentation required has been obtained.
